VOLUNTEER
The Abbasi Islamic Centre project is a wonderful opportunity for every member of the community to get involved in an invaluable opportunity to make an impact. It's also a great way to build up quality experience for your CV.
No matter what your interests or skill sets, we have something to suit everyone.
We currently need volunteers in the following teams:
- Fundraising: Your job will be to assist in fundraising locally within the UK. This will include visiting other centres with a group of other fundraisers, organising local fundraising events, keeping in touch with fundraisers to give advice and support their experiences, and assist the wider team with ad-hoc duties.
- Marketing: As part of the marketing team, your role will involve creating content that will be used for marketing purposes. This will include making promotional videos, posters, leaflets and any other material as requested. You will be assigned various projects to work on independently or as part of a team. You will need to be willing to learn and work hard. Previous experience in film making and general graphic design is desirable.
- Social Media and IT: You will be required to work closely with other departments within the overall project team and promote our project’s activities on a regular basis via our website and Social Media - including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

Help us build a Community Centre that will become a focal point for both the youngsters and older generation within our community. Every pound donated will go a long way towards helping us reach our target and meet our Project Goals.

FUNDRAISE FOR US
From Bake Sales and Cycle rides to Educational Workshops and Marsiya Khani’s, there are numerous ways that you can raise money for our project. All you need is a Just-Giving account and you are good to go. We can also help you with advice and tips for making the most out of your fundraising experience.
BUY A BRICK
Our Buy A Brick (BAB) campaign enables you to donate to our cause by buying a brick to be placed in our new project building and dedicating it to a beloved Marhum or Marhuma. You can start for just £20 per month (over a 10-month period) or give £200 per brick upfront.
